Hi everyone! Have you ever heard of baked donuts? Yes, baked and not fried. Well yes, they exist and I have not gone crazy. It is one of the new recipes and booms that arise in the pastry to forget all the oil that a donut absorbs when frying.
Baked donuts are much more fluffy, keep more flavor and are super easy to make. In this case, I used a Wilton mold to bake it but you can’t even look at my homemade chocolate donuts where I teach you a trick to make them without a mold and make them perfect.

Ingredients for 12 donuts:
- 1 cup coconut or vegetable oil
- 1 cups white sugar
- 3 eggs
- lemon zest
- 1 cup of milk
- 3 cups normal flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt.
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 180º. Grease your mold with butter or release spray.
In a bowl, beat the oil, sugar and eggs. Gradually add the flour along with the yeast and the pinch of salt.
Mix until a homogeneous mass is obtained and add the milk little by little until all the liquid has been integrated and no lump is found.
When you have a soft dough add the lemon zest and the toppings you want as split fruit or chocolate.
Fill the molds with a spoon or a pastry bag to half its capacity and bake for 20 minutes or until when you prick with a stick, it comes out clean without any liquid crumbs.
Let cool and enjoy them with a simple glaze or coffee.
I hope you liked it since this recipe was very successful at home and if you want some more flavor you tell me through my social networks.
Many kisses, Soco.
I’d like to try this! How much yeast and lemon zest?
